“ We had cheddar burger, bacon burger, Scorpion burger, fish and chips and chicken tenders(this was from the kids menu $9.95) All the burgers were really good and it was cooked to perfection! The chicken tenders came with ketchup and mustard, the mustard was out of this world, it was sweet and tangy! I dip the fries in that and I can't stop eating them! The fish n chips were huge and very tender! Definitely I would go back and try other entrees! ”

“ Great seating by the TVs for game days. The fries are yummy and the vegan burger too. Service is good not great but the vibes are kind and friendly. Had to ask for the bf chicken sandwich because it didn't come out with his side of chili, if we hadn't asked- the waiter was unaware the meal was not served entirely at once. Overall, four star even so because of the prices and low traffic ambiance, on a Texas cowboys game day. ”

“ I chose City Works for my birthday brunch with friends. I was surprised to find that it wasn't very busy for a Sunday brunch during a holiday weekend. Perhaps a lot of people were traveling? I will admit that part of the reason I chose City Works was because of their cleverly named dishes, but it was also for the cinnamon roll with orange frosting. I could have cried when they said they didn't have any cinnamon rolls left. They brought out the donuts instead and comped them. They were actually pretty good, but I was really REALLY looking forward to the cinnamon roll. I ordered the avocado toast and it was really good. From what I heard from the rest of the group, they enjoyed their brunch choices as well. The only reason I docked a star was due to the fact that our server went missing a few times. There weren't that many parties in the restaurant, so I'm not sure what was happening that kept her away for so long. ”

“ I was checking out other reviews, because I was wondering why is this place 3.5 stars? Most people have had issues with ordering times, so I cannot speak for that. Some are upset about the high prices, and I can see both sides of it. However, it's high everywhere now so go figure. But I understand that the portion is small, so I can see why others aren't too happy. Ambiance - 5/5 - Located at the Star (and really close to us), we enjoy this area, in addition to the Hub, Boardwalk, Shacks, and Grandscape. But since we are talking about this restaurant, it is located in an area that is nice, clean, and many other places to eat and shop. Staff - 5/5 - Very friendly and courteous. Made sure we were taken care of. Maybe they read other reviews and took notice :) Food/Drink - 4/5 - Ordered the following: Cheese Curds - $11.50 - 4/5 - Good ole Fried Cheese squares. Good for the kids Fried Pickles - $10 - 3/5 - Nothing special here. Small and not worth the price. Pretzel Bites - $10.50 - 3/5 - I am a sucker for these while I drink. Small for the price. BBQ Chicken Flatbread - $15.50 - Typical BBQ chicken flatbread. Beers - I always find it hard to share reviews on beers. I like strong, powerful, high content beers (the Asian side in me tries to get the most bang for the buck and the German side of me needs strong, powerful stuff haha) I have ordered the following: Mango Smash - 7% Feisty Blonde - 8.27% Mosaic - 8.6% Space Dust - 8.2% One day, I will try their Scorpion Burger. Overall, it is in a great location, I can sit outside with my pup and enjoy nice craft beers. The only knock is that I understand the high prices, but portions need to be bigger. At the end of the day, I will be back. ”
